Adding Streams (Individual or Batch)
Once inside the player dashboard, use the top control bar to add streams. You can type or paste a single Twitch username or add multiple channels simultaneously.
Choosing Your View Mode
StreamGrid supports two primary layout modes designed to keep your display organized:
• Grid Mode: Displays all active streams in an equal-sized grid format (up to 5 channels).
• Focus Mode: Promotes one primary channel into a large stage position while placing secondary feeds into a side ribbon.
Understanding Automatic Quality Scaling
To prevent audio overlap and keep your PC running smoothly without GPU/CPU lag, StreamGrid automatically manages stream resolutions:
• The Main Focus Stream runs at crisp **Source / 1080p** resolution.
• **Secondary Background Feeds** automatically scale to **480p** to reduce bandwidth and resource usage by over 70%.
Managing Audio & Focus Swapping
Never worry about overlapping sound from multiple streams. When in Focus Mode, clicking Focus on any side stream instantly swaps it into the main stage view while automatically unmuting its audio and muting the secondary streams.
Saving Local Presets
Once you have configured your favorite layout and stream setup, click Save Preset in the control bar. StreamGrid stores your preferences directly inside your browser's LocalStorage, allowing you to reload your setup instantly on your next visit.
